The volume of data traffic passing through mobile networks continues to grow rapidly: from the fourth quarter of 2021 to the end of 2022, data traffic volume increased by 40%. The number of mobile network users continues to grow - in 2022, the number of users worldwide increased to 8.4 billion (8.2 billion in 2021). According to Ericsson's forecasts, mobile data traffic will grow more than 4 times over the next five years compared to 2022.

As mobile networks can be overloaded at certain times, Ericsson offers network operators products that allow existing frequencies to be used more efficiently and also to introduce new frequency ranges.
