General description On 20.01.1998, Narva Vesi was registered in the commercial register as a joint-stock company with the registration code 10369373. AS Narva Vesi is the legal successor of the municipal company Narva Vesi. AS Narva Vesi is registered at the address Kulgu 4, Narva city, Ida-Viru county. According to the data of the share register keeper Nasdaq CSD SE, the owner of the company's shares is the Development and Economy Department of Narva city and the Narva-Jõesuu City Government.

According to the commercial register, the main activity of AS Narva Vesi is water collection, treatment and supply. Additional activities include sewage and wastewater treatment and free market services related to public water supply and sewage.

According to § 7 (3) of the Public Water Supply and Sewerage Act, the water company's area of operation is established by a decision of the local government council. By the decision no. 153/18 of the Narva City Council on 13.09.2000, AS Narva Vesi has been designated as a water company in Narva city and its area of operation has been confirmed as the administrative territory of Narva city. By the regulation no. 37 of the Narva-Jõesuu City Council on 07.12.2000, AS Narva Vesi has been designated as the water company of Narva-Jõesuu city.

The current water service prices of AS Narva Vesi have been coordinated with the decision no. 9-3/2022-020 of the Competition Authority on 22.07.2022.

The source of drinking water for Narva city is surface water, which is taken from the upper course of the Narva river 26 km away from the city at the Mustajõe water intake.

The maximum permitted water intake per year is 7,533.6 thousand m3. The water drawn from the Mustajõe water intake is directed to the water treatment plant in Narva city, where the raw water is brought into compliance with the requirements for drinking water and directed into the public water supply pipeline.

Groundwater is used for the water supply of the Siivertsi district of Narva city, which is pumped from the Cambrian-Vendian groundwater layer with one well pump. According to the special water use permit, the maximum annual permitted water intake from the Siivertsi well is 12.6 thousand m3.

For the purpose of supplying water to Narva-Jõesuu city, AS Narva Vesi owns 7 well pumps. The wells of Narva-Jõesuu city draw water from the Cambrian-Vendian groundwater layer. According to the special water use permit, the maximum annual permitted water intake from the well of Narva-Jõesuu city is 432 thousand m3.

AS Narva Vesi uses the Narva wastewater treatment plant to treat the wastewater diverted from consumers. Both the wastewater of Narva and Narva-Jõesuu cities are treated there. The wastewater of Narva-Jõesuu is directed there through a pressure pipe 11.6 km long.

The main activities of AS Narva Vesi in 2022 were as follows: pumping of raw water, its treatment and delivery to customers, acceptance and treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater, operation of drinking water and sewage networks, current capital and emergency repair, installation of water meters, operation of fire hydrants.

The company aims to provide high-quality public water supply and sewage services to as many property owners in the area of operation as possible, following established environmental requirements.

By monitoring the dynamics of the macroeconomic development of the area of operation of AS Narva Vesi and the development of Narva city, it can be assumed that in the near future AS Narva Vesi does not expect a significant increase in the consumer base in terms of population, but an increase in the water supply and wastewater volumes of population and industrial consumers is expected in the near future (approx. 3-year perspective). The fee for wastewater diversion and treatment applies to customers in Narva city and Narva-Jõesuu city, whose concentration of wastewater directed to the public sewerage does not exceed the limit values indicated in the rules for the use of public water supply and sewerage.
