In 2022, the economic activity of Sakala Teed OÜ continued. They dealt with road repair work, production of road construction materials, production and installation of traffic control devices, and road maintenance. To a lesser extent, also with the provision of services with road work machines.

The sales revenue for the reporting year was 6,189 thousand euros (7,211 thousand euros in 2021). Total sales revenue decreased by approximately 14% compared to the previous 2021.

The decrease in sales revenue was mainly due to the decrease in the volume of procurements caused by the scarcity of state budget funds in the second half of the reporting year.

About 79% of sales revenue came from road maintenance work, about 21% from the extraction and production of mineral materials necessary for their implementation

The largest works during the reporting year were on national roads and local government roads. Considering the difficult situation in the road construction market, it is necessary to look for ways to reduce costs, while continuing active efforts to procure additional work.

The company's sales volume is primarily affected by the volume of investments in national infrastructure. The seasonality of road repair work is somewhat compensated by dealing with road maintenance.

In order to ensure better logistics and flexibility, it is necessary to continue looking for additional opportunities for sand and gravel mining.

In the reporting year, 316 thousand euros were invested in updating the technology. In order to ensure capacity, it is necessary to continue updating and replacing technology in roughly the same volumes in the coming years.

Sakala Teed OÜ has an integrated quality and environmental management system (ISO9001:2015; ISO14001:2015), which proves the company's ability to mediate, manufacture and install environmentally friendly products that meet the requirements and needs of customers. The operational risks and possible damages resulting from the company's road maintenance work are covered by insurances and guarantees.

As of the end of the year, Sakala Teed OÜ employed 35 people. The average number of employees (converted to full-time) was 34.

During the financial year and the period of preparation of the report, no risks related to changes in exchange rates, interest rates and stock exchange rates were identified, as settlements are made in euros and there are no loan obligations.

Due to the war that started in Ukraine in 2022 and the European Union's response to it, the situation in the economy has worsened and become more unpredictable, which caused a large increase in input prices in 2022.
