- Terms used
1.1. The Webpages of the online environment are: www.scorestorybook.ee and www.storybook.ee
1.2. Administrator: Storybook OÜ (registry code 14636888)
1.3. User: Any natural or legal person who exercises the right or has expressed the wish to exercise the right to read articles in the online environment.
1.4. Story: A Story automatically generated by Storybook or an opinion piece published by a User.
1.5. Commentary Box: A commenting environment on the Webpage where the User has the right to post Comments about articles.
1.6. Comment: Any opinion, notice or other information inserted to the webpage Commentary Box by a User.
1.7. Edit, Editing: The option to Edit Stories, where by using this option the name of the User (editor) and a notice that the Story has been Edited will be published with the Story.
- General terms
2.1. Using the website will be defined as any use of any document, data or published material (including articles, photos, blog entries, comments etc) on the webpage and inserting data on the Webpage in any way and for any purpose.
2.2. The User uses the information for his/her own use and under his/her own responsibility. In accordance with personal data protection legislation, personal data of the User will only be retained with the User’s permission and only to the extent necessary for the functioning of the Webpage and its services. - Rights and Obligations of the User
3.1. The User is obligated to present true and complete information when registering to be a User of the Webpage, including registering his/her true and complete name and publishing true and in practice functional contact details and communications and other similar information.
3.2. The User is obligated to keep the user ID and password or ID-card and passwords necessary for using the Webpage in a manner that no third parties will unjustifiably gain knowledge of them.
3.3. The User will not display information from the Webpage without the written consent of the Register and the User will not resell this information.
3.4. The User is responsible for his/her Comments and Editing of Stories. The User posting Comments is obligated when Commenting, publishing Stories and Editing to take into account the Constitution of the Republic of Estonia, other legislation in line with the constitution, other persons’ rights, and also standards of good practice and moral standards. The User posting Comments has the burden of proof, if necessary, that the facts disclosed correspond to reality. The User posting Comments not conforming to legislation incurs civil and criminal liability.
3.6. The User has the right to reclaim the prepaid Year Package, with the deduction of the minimum charge, the 24-h Day Package, within 14 days of placing the order by sending an application to email@example.com
- Rights and Obligations of the Administrator
4.1. The Administrator is obligated not to disclose the User’s personal data to third parties, except in cases of transmission of data on a legitimate basis laid down by law for prevention and investigation of offences or other similar cases
4.2. The Administrator owns all contents and data of documents published on the Webpage, if not otherwise specified;
4.3. The Administrator reserves the right to refuse providing the service to the User on valid grounds;
4.4. The Administrator reserves the right to cease or completely end providing the service without prior notice to the User;
4.6. The Administrator guarantees anonymity to those providing news tips, in accordance with best practice in journalism and Estonian Code of Ethics in Journalism.
- Liability of the User and Limitations of Liability of the User
5.1. A news article on the Webpage can be quoted for free and without permission from Storybook OÜ to the limit of one title and one sentence. At the same time, this sentence
should not be longer than the original sentence introducing the quote. This restriction applies if no other agreement has been confirmed in writing. When quoting online, the link to the specific Story being quoted must be included. When quoting in print, the original source STORYBOOK must be cited.
5.2. The fine unit for a single use of article materials without prior consent – 200€; the fine unit for repeated (twice or more) use of article materials without prior consent – 300€.
- Limitations of Liability of the Administrator
6.1. The Administrator is not liable for any direct or indirect costs caused by the use of information by the User or any loss in revenues caused by the non-use of information by the User;
6.3. The Administrator is not liable for any damage or loss of revenue caused by the acts or omissions of third parties;
6.4. The Administrator is not liable for any damage or loss of revenue caused by technical failures.
6.5. The Administrator is not liable for any consequences of misunderstandings of any phrases, words and terms in this text.
